Telling Our Stories With A Serving Perspective with Nathaniel J Brown
Show Notes

What is your story? How are you telling it? We all have stories, but the perspective of that story is what is so important and what makes us different. Nathaniel Brown is a perspective coach that helps his clients to rewrite their stories and view their traumas in a way that can serve them and not hurt them. In today's interview, Nathaniel shares the story of his own experience with trauma and the profound experience he had through meditation and therapy that helped him to move forward. "Does this story serve you?" He asks. Nathaniel is not asking anyone to ignore their traumas and he is not saying he does not respect what someone has gone through, he just knows that there is a better way that these stories can be serving us and no longer hurting us. The universe is happening with us and for us and does not have to be against us.

This is the final interview episode before the season 1 finale next week! Submit your final questions you want answered! Shannon cannot wait for next week and she asks that this week you take it easy on yourself after the holiday and just listen to what feels right for you.

Nathaniel is whatsome call a deep well to drink from. His ability to extract principles and conceptsfrom a vast array of cultures and texts, gives him the perspective, ability and the toolsto engage others on many levels. From childhood he was always curious. Taking the time to disassemble thingsforthe sake ofseeing how they work, and questioning thingsthat didn't quite add up. But, at the age of 8 something happened thatsilenced him and for nearly 3 decades and the fallout from the trauma had taken itstoll. Nathaniel battled with PTSD, night terrors, mis-identity, inferiority, anger, isolation and the overall feeling of not being enough. However, after doing the deep inner work and shifting his mindset along with his perspective, Nathaniel has made it his mission to help others, especially men, reconnect to who they truly are outside of the "masculinity" labels ofsociety. He believesthat men and women who have taken the time to re-see theirtraumatic experiences with a new perspective, engage with life differently. They become better Fathers, Mothers, Husbands, Wives, Entrepreneurs, and Leaders. "There is a life worth living on the otherside of trauma and when we embrace "that" life, we can truly Be, Do and Have what ever we desire."
